It was as though the original dressmaker had gone mad: satin rosettes covered the bodice and skirt, marched in rows down the sleeves and surrounded the neckline. Creel had no choice: she ripped and slashed, hemmed and embroidered. And when she was done, the results were . . . extraordinary.
